A pair of fine silver earrings with natural snowflake obsidian stones, surrounded by a twisted ring and sterling silver suspension, making the small stones look like miniature planets floating in an elegant silver circle.

The earrings are handmade by Therese Følsgaard, and therefore each pair is unique. Each stone, with its unique colors and patterns, evokes images of distant worlds and landscapes.

Obsidian is a natural volcanic glass rock that forms when lava cools rapidly. The "snowflakes" in the black obsidian are a type of quartz called cristobalite.

Obsidian has been used in the past both as a kind of spiritual mirror and to craft weapons. Obsidian is said to give its wearer protection and clarity, remove negative energy and promote self-insight. Snowflake obsidian is also said to give strong bones!

Obsidian is an aesthetically strong choice in jewelry, adding an aura of mystery and strength.

Therese Følsgaard designs jewelry inspired by nature, for women who love to express their personal style and stand out from the crowd.

The designer behind

As a jewelry designer, Therese Følsgaard never tires of finding inspiration everywhere around her. She was introduced to the colorful worlds of art and architecture as a child. These are today a fundamental part of her inner DNA. Cubism and the abstract in particular offer many fantastic forms to work with. However, nature is also close to her heart; a result of growing up in the countryside.
