This handmade sterling silver bracelet combines historical symbolism with the aesthetics of nature. The design is based on the Viking compass – a simple but ingenious navigation tool that made it possible to find the position of the sun and thus keep course on the open sea. The two silver elements in the bracelet are interpretations of this very compass, reproduced as fragments that testify to both function and form.

The silver surface is vibrant and textured with hand-filed notches and dark patina that highlight the details and give a raw yet refined expression. Between the historically inspired silver elements, the piece is adorned with rutile quartz – a natural stone known for its fine needle-like inclusions that catch the light in an alluring way and create depth in the design.

The bracelet is 20 cm long and closes with a T-clasp. It is put together with strong chain links, which provide a beautiful contrast to the soft, organic shapes of stone and silver. A distinctive and meaningful piece of jewelry for those who appreciate craftsmanship with history and edge.

The designer behind

As a jewelry designer, Therese Følsgaard never tires of finding inspiration everywhere around her. She was introduced to the colorful worlds of art and architecture as a child. These are today a fundamental part of her inner DNA. Cubism and the abstract in particular offer many fantastic forms to work with. However, nature is also close to her heart; a result of growing up in the countryside.
