Obsidian is a natural volcanic glass stone that forms when lava cools rapidly. The "snowflakes" in the black obsidian are a type of quartz called cristobalite.

As a jewelry designer, Therese Følsgaard never tires of finding inspiration everywhere around her. She was introduced to the colorful worlds of art and architecture as a child. These are today a fundamental part of her inner DNA. Cubism and the abstract in particular offer many fantastic forms to work with. However, nature is also close to her heart; a result of growing up in the countryside.
